A Salem man is facing federal charges after authorities say he possessed multiple Molotov cocktails, which he allegedly used in an attempt to damage a local Tesla dealership.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon, Adam Matthew Lansky, 41, was charged with illegally possessing unregistered destructive devices.

Federal prosecutors allege that Lansky threw Molotov cocktails at a Tesla dealership in Salem, causing minor damage. Law enforcement officials say they later discovered additional firebombs in his possession.

Lansky was arrested and is now in federal custody. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

Following his arrest, independent online sources and social media users began alleging that Lansky was a “trans” activist and uses the alias Alison Tesla. Conservative journalist Andy Ngo posted on X, claiming that Lansky is a “trans” suspect, though no official sources have confirmed this information.

Federal authorities have not commented, and court records do not reference any aliases. While some online users claim that Lansky’s actions were politically motivated, law enforcement has not stated such a motive.

This arrest comes months after a similar incident in Colorado, where a self-identified “transgender” individual was charged with attacking a Tesla dealership.

As The Dallas Express previously reported, the suspect in that case caused extensive property damage and was later taken into custody.

With two alleged incidents involving “trans” individuals targeting Tesla dealerships, it raises the question: Is this a growing trend?

While no evidence currently suggests a coordinated effort against the company, the similarities in these cases have sparked speculation online.

Lansky’s first court appearance is scheduled for later this month in Portland’s U.S. District Court. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and local authorities are continuing to investigate the case.
