Fritz’s Adventure, a family entertainment venue, is just weeks away from opening its second location, right here in North Texas.
On April 2, doors open at the adventure park’s Grandscape location in The Colony, the only other location outside Fritz’s original home in Branson, Missouri.
“We are thrilled to open our doors at Grandscape and become a part of one of the nation’s top entertainment hubs,” Matt Engram, owner and chief executive officer of Fritz’s Adventure, said in a March 3 press release.
“Our mission is to create WOW moments by providing a space where families and friends can come together to challenge themselves and make lasting memories.”
For the uninitiated, you can expect more than 100,000 square feet of adventure, including a TreeTops zipline course, climbable city wall, slides, underground tunnels, and a café to grab a sandwich or pizza before continuing your exploration.
“Challenge yourself with our indoor/outdoor course that offers varying levels of difficulty,” or “Test your skills climbing to the top of an old building on obstacles that cater to various abilities, from novices eager to learn to seasoned climbers seeking new challenges,” reads a description in the press release.
Of course, if you cannot wait until April to try out North Texas’ newest obstacles, Fritz’s Adventure is hosting a special Community Night Sneak Peek on March 29 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The best part? Entry is free.
If you are interested in attending, Fritz’s Adventure is hosting a ticket pickup in their parking lot at 5641 Nebraska Furniture Mart Drive in The Colony on March 15 from 10 a.m. to noon. You might want to get there early since tickets will be distributed on a first come, first served basis, with a limit of one ticket per person.
Once doors officially open, park entry starts at $19 Monday through Thursday and bumps up to $25 Friday through Sunday. Upgrades are available, like optional access to the 48-foot climbing wall.
Fritz’s Adventure is not the only family-friendly attraction on its way to North Texas. As recently reported in The Dallas Express, new details about the forthcoming Universal Kids resort set to open in Frisco next year have emerged. The theme park, which broke ground in late 2023, is expected to be a unique resort tailored for families with young children. Visitors can expect all the favorite characters from DreamWorks, Nickelodeon, and other Universal franchises.
