— Forward Jason Robertson had a goal and three assists on Monday, becoming the first player to accumulate 100 points in a single season since the team moved to Dallas. He is the fourth player to do so with the franchise overall.

The Rangers suffered their first loss of the 2023 season after sweeping the Philadelphia Phillies over the weekend. Jon Gray allowed two home runs through six and one-third innings, while Josh Jung had the only Rangers’ hit of the game on an infield single in the second.
Noteworthy: Texas outfielder Josh H. Smith was taken to the hospital for scans and testing after being hit by a pitch in the face during the third inning. The team has not yet released an update on his condition, but manager Bruce Bochy told media after the game that the scans came back clean.
— Monday was the first time the Rangers had been shut out this season.
— The Texas bullpen entered the game leading the American League with a 1.42 ERA. Cole Ragans and Ian Kennedy continued the trend by allowing no runs in two and two-thirds innings Monday.
