Biden Facing Dual Investigations

President Joe Biden is under investigation by both the Department of Justice (DOJ) and House Republicans.

On Thursday, Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Robert Hur as a special counsel to investigate Biden’s potentially illegal possession of classified documents from his days in the Obama administration.

The documents were found inside the Washington offices of the Penn Biden Center and in the garage of Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware, as previously reported by The Dallas Express.

The initial investigation was conducted by the U.S. Attorney for the District of Illinois, John Lausch, who then advised Garland to appoint a special counsel to investigate the matter further.

“Based on Mr. Lausch’s initial investigation, I concluded that, under the Special Counsel regulations, it was in the public interest to appoint a Special Counsel,” Garland said Thursday.

“Earlier today, I signed an order appointing Robert Hur a Special Counsel for the matter I have just described,” he stated. “The document authorizes him to investigate whether any person or entity violated the law in connection with this matter. The special counsel will not be subject to the day-to-day supervision of any official of the department, but he must comply with the regulations, procedures, and policies of the department.”

Hur previously worked in the DOJ’s criminal division, investigating domestic terrorism and corporate fraud, and served as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland before leaving the DOJ in 2021.

Garland said, “I am confident that Mr. Hur will carry out his responsibility in an even-handed and urgent manner and in accordance with the highest traditions of this department.”

Meanwhile, House Republicans have launched an investigation into the Biden family’s finances.

“Now that Democrats no longer have one-party rule in Washington, oversight and accountability are coming,” said Rep. James Comer (R-KY), chairman of the House Oversight Committee.

The committee requested information from the Treasury Department regarding financial transactions by Biden family members that were flagged for suspicious activity. The Treasury Department has declined requests for comment.

The Republican-led committee also requested testimony from former Twitter executives involved in allegedly suppressing information about the purported criminal activity of the president’s son, Hunter Biden.

Comer said there are “troubling questions” about the business affairs of both Hunter Biden and James Biden, the president’s brother, that must be investigated.

White House spokesman Ian Sams retorted:

“In their first week as a governing majority, House Republicans have not taken any meaningful action to address inflation and lower Americans’ costs, yet they’re jumping out of the gate with political stunts driven by the most extreme MAGA members of their caucus in an effort to get the attention of Fox News.”

Is this just another ploy/smoke screen to allow those directed by the fbi and other in house groups to remove anything that makes biden look bad as was done just before the presidential election/midterm election about the hunter laptop and its contents. By the way why was nothing done about inflation/lower American costs before midterm results.

Where were YOU in 2022? The Federal Reserve raised interest rates three or four times last year in order to curb inflation. The result is a reduction in inflation from a high of 9.1% to around 6%. Gas prices have dropped along with the unemployment rate. If you and the right-wing media would get your minds off Hunter Biden, and protecting Trump, and follow REAL news, you would know this. We can all see that the Republican led house priorities will be getting revenge for investigations of Trump and the insurrectionists. Investigating the Investigators. They should be careful what they wish for.

First off, the dems are experts at political stunts. Pelosi “trying” to secretly put little tears in Trump’s speech so that she could stand up at the end and rip it. You seriously don’t consider that a childish, preplanned stunt? And no matter what the Republicans try to do for inflation and costs, your dumbocrats in the Senate will slap it down. Get a clue.

The great stunt is that the 6-year old bitterness about the speech remains; not to mention that Trump would not shake Nancy’s hand at the beginning of it.

She also received a standing ovation the next morning for ripping it up; history may show that was the best part of the entire event.

I’m actually happy about the DOJ investigating Biden’s mishandling of secret documents. It puts that much more pressure on Republicans to COMPREHEND and ACKNOWLEDGE the investigation into Trump’s THEFT of hundreds of Top Secret docs, then REFUSING to give them back.
