A TCU freshman football player went viral this week as social media users discovered his team profile and high school game film.

Brione Ramsey-Brooks, a three-star freshman offensive lineman from South Oak Cliff High School, stands at 6-foot-5, 455 pounds, is a former first-team All-State and All-District player, and was part of back-to-back 5A state championship teams. He committed to TCU over schools like Arizona, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Oregon, and Houston in May.

“I think TCU true freshman OL Brione Ramsey-Brooks is going to be a fan favorite,” one analyst wrote on Twitter. “You can’t teach size.”

The video that surfaced showed three plays, all of which involved Ramsey-Brooks routinely driving defenders into the turf and even out the back of the end zone.

“I have recently discovered my new favorite athlete,” another wrote as he posted the video. “His name is Brione “Big Bubba” Ramsey-Brooks. He’s a 6’5, 455 (!!) lb freshman OL for TCU. And he eats defenders for quite literally every meal.”

According to 247Sports, Ramsey-Brooks finished high school as the 126th-ranked interior offensive lineman in the country and 283rd overall player in Texas in the Class of 2023. While he may eventually work his way into the lineup, he is not expected to start this season.
