Elon Musk announced that viewers can watch a live stream of his cage match with Mark Zuckerberg on Twitter.

Musk claimed he was still going through with an upcoming MMA fight with Zuckerberg, announcing over the weekend that the much-anticipated showdown between the two billionaires and social media rivals will be live-streamed on the newly rebranded platform and that all proceeds would go to charities for veterans.

Anticipation for the match-up has been building since the two billionaires started going back and forth about the fight on social media earlier this summer.

“I’m up for a cage match if he is,” Musk, 52, said in June.

“Send me [the] location,” Zuckerberg, 39, reportedly responded.

While no date or location has been scheduled for the epic throwdown, Musk and Zuckerberg have both confirmed that they have been training ahead of the anticipated fight.

“Am lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight. Don’t have time to work out, so I just bring them to work,” Musk said in a Twitter post.

“I’m ready today,” Zuckerberg reportedly wrote over the weekend in a Threads post, according to NBC News. “I suggested Aug 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath.”

Zuckerberg, an avid MMA practitioner, was recently shown in an Instagram post with MMA juggernauts Alexander Volkanovski and Israel Adesanya. The tech billionaire has been training with both fighters.

To ensure he is in proper fighting shape, Musk said he would be getting some medical examinations done this week to see if he needs surgery before the fight.

“Exact date is still in flux. I’m getting an MRI of my neck & upper back tomorrow. May require surgery before the fight can happen. Will know this week,” Musk explained in a Twitter post.

If the fight is confirmed, and Twitter is the exclusive platform on which to watch it, it is possible the platform could generate a tidal wave of user activity and engagement.
