Apple’s next lineup of smartphones is expected to be revealed this fall, with upcoming iPhone 15 models rumored to introduce a number of new features and upgrades.

Although Apple has yet to confirm an official release date for the new iPhone 15 models, the company is expected to debut its flagship product at an upcoming showcase in September.

“Signs are increasingly pointing to Sept. 12 as the iPhone 15 event date, but obviously things can still theoretically change,” Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said in a Twitter post.

As is tradition for the California-based tech giant, Apple will likely release four variations of its newest model: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Each version of the smartphone will likely include quality-of-life upgrades, but only the higher-end iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models are rumored to have exclusive new features. Some of the new features include a slimmer design with a titanium chassis, USB-C compatibility, faster A16 modem chips, upgraded camera technology, and more.

Despite the excitement over the new iPhone 15 models, the smartphone market has been in decline in the United States for the last couple of quarters, Apple CFO Luca Maestri said during a recent conference call with investors.

Reduced interest in smartphones will likely not stop die-hard Apple fans, but the economic pressures beating down on budget-conscious consumers just might have an effect, suggested Laura Martin, an analyst at investment banking and asset management firm Needham & Company.

“I’m not surprised — we’re seeing lower demand for smart TVs, too,” said Martin, in response to consumer pullback in late 2022, Yahoo Finance reported.

If Apple holds to its standard calendar of events, as it has in years past, iPhone customers will not have to wait much longer before the company reveals the iPhone 15’s complete list of product details.

As previously reported by The Dallas Express, rumor has it that the company could also be boosting its prices for the new models.
