The Shops at Park Lane is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week with over $500 in giveaways for Dallas educators.
As Teacher Appreciation Week approaches, The Shops at Park Lane is gearing up to honor the hard work and dedication of Dallas educators.
From May 8-12, teachers in the Dallas area will have a chance to be rewarded for their tireless efforts in shaping young minds.
The Shops at Park Lane, located at 8080 Park Ln. in Dallas, will be hosting daily giveaways on its Instagram page.
To participate in the daily giveaways, teachers simply need to sign up on Instagram and enter to win.
Educators can look forward to a variety of prizes and incentives in the form of gift cards, ranging from $50 to $200, for various stores in the shopping center.
On Monday, teachers had the opportunity to win $50 for Starbucks and $50 for Cava. The schedule for the remaining giveaways is as follows:
- Tuesday – win $100 for Home Goods
- Wednesday – win $100 for J. Crew Factory
- Thursday – win $100 for Vie Nails
- Friday – win $200 for Loft’s newest Dallas location at The Shops at Park Lane
Teacher Appreciation Week, a nationwide observance that recognizes the invaluable contributions of teachers and acknowledges their role in shaping the minds and hearts of students, was started by the National Education Association (NEA) in March 1984. The NEA chose the first full week of May for the observance of Teacher Appreciation Week.
The initiative provides an opportunity to show and express gratitude for the transformative impact teachers have on individuals and society as a whole.
President Joe Biden issued a proclamation on May 5, which said, “In schools across America, teachers are arriving early to set up classrooms, spending long hours educating students, and staying late to prepare tomorrow’s lesson plans. Their devotion to our children embodies the best of America — ready to serve and eager to see others thrive.”
Biden proclaimed May 9, 2023, as National Teacher Appreciation Day and May 7 through May 13, 2023, as National Teacher Appreciation Week.
“Today and during this week, we celebrate our Nation’s remarkable teachers and early childhood educators, and we recommit to having their backs, just as they have ours.”
