A North Texas teacher’s aide was arrested last week for allegedly producing child pornography and distributing it via Snapchat.
Blaine Tyler Frost is now facing charges of indecency with a child by sexual contact, indecency with a child by exposure, and possession with intent to promote child pornography.
Each charge is a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
Frost is 19 years old and worked as an “inclusion paraprofessional” at Henrietta Elementary School, about two hours northwest of Dallas.
Henrietta ISD Superintendent Jaime Clark told The Dallas Express that as an inclusion paraprofessional, Frost “worked as an aide that supported teachers in a classroom.”
Frost was booked into the Clay County Jail on June 8 at 7 a.m.
Interim Clay County Sheriff Kirk Horton said his bail totals $1 million as a judge set his bond at $250,000 for each indecency charge and $500,000 for the child pornography charge, KFDX reported.
Frost was arrested after a special agent with the Texas Department of Public Safety’s (DPS) Criminal Investigations Division was notified on June 5 by a U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) special agent that suspects in a child pornography investigation in Pittsburgh were potentially receiving child sex abuse material from Henrietta.
The DPS special agent retrieved alleged evidence from Snapchat that Frost used his account to produce and distribute homemade pornography. The agent reviewed several images and videos of child pornography and identified Frost using his driver’s license.
One screen recording of a Snapchat story allegedly showed Frost exposing himself to a young boy before assaulting him, the DPS agent stated.
The alleged incident likely occurred in February, and the Snapchat story was then apparently distributed to another individual who was also a suspect in the DHS Pittsburg investigation.
In a letter to families, Superintendent Clark said Frost “has been placed on leave from his position and is not permitted at any district facility.”
The Criminal Investigation Division of DPS is investigating Frost, according to Sheriff Horton. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is not involved with the investigation.
DPS Sergeant Marc Couch said his department would publish a press release with more information, but the press release has yet to be published.
The Dallas Express contacted the DPS for comment but received no response by press time.
