More than 3,200 flights were canceled or delayed on Monday because of thunderstorms in the Southeast and Ohio Valley, data from FlightAware showed.

As of 10 a.m. CT, 811 were canceled, and 2,442 flights were delayed.

Those interruptions were having residual effects at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Dallas Love Field (DAL).

DFW had 16 cancellations and 126 delays, FlightAware indicated, and DAL had five cancellations and 31 delays.

Many flights remain listed on time for Monday afternoon, both airports reported.

Airlines suggest checking their arrival and departure times before going to the airport.

The weekend was a rough time for airline travel. More than 9,600 flights were delayed and 1,405 were canceled on Sunday because of storms.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) briefly halted departures to major airports serving Washington. It reported a power panel had to be repaired at an air traffic control facility. The ground stops were lifted after an hour.

“Departures to D.C.-area airports have resumed, and repairs to the communications power panel are complete,” the FAA said in a statement. “During the repairs, a backup system handled communications safely.”
