A dead body was found in a pool at a home in Rowlett on Tuesday, police said in a social media post.

Rowlett police officers responded around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday to a home in the 2100 block of Indian Trail, the police department said.

A possible person of interest ran from the scene, police said, and a Department of Public Safety helicopter was dispatched.

No one has been arrested as of Tuesday afternoon, police told The Dallas Express.

The person found dead was a man, police said, adding they were not releasing his identity at this time.

“Narcotics were found to be involved in the incident and, as a result, the DEA will be partnering with local law enforcement to assist in the ongoing investigation,” Rowlett PD said in the social media post.

Police said the incident appears to be isolated.

“There is no known threat to the public,” police said.

Rowlett is located about 20 miles northeast of downtown Dallas near the Dallas and Rockwall county line.
